Allowed for children up to 4 years of age, accompanied and closely supervised by parents and holders of disabilities with insufficient capacity for autonomous walking and accompanying.

The Florence Tourist Guides also have the right to free admission, in possession of an identification card to be shown at the entrance.

They are in Italian, English, French, German, Russian and Portuguese and Spanish and their listening lasts about 1 hour.

It is not possible to book them online, but they can be purchased directly at the cash desk within the limits of the availability existing at the time of entry to the Museum.

The visit to the interactive museum lasts about 1 hour while if you choose the guided tour, overall, the stay at the museum is just under 2 hours (45 minutes of guided tour and then about 1 hour of visit free inside the interactive museum).

Interactive workshops do not have to be booked and are already included in the indicated rates.

Children under the age of 12 may enter only if accompanied by parents who retain the responsibility of supervising them within the museum.

Access is allowed with small dogs if they are held during the visit, or in a crate or bag.
For school groups of the European Union, accompanied by their teachers, special rates are provided with reference to:

  • to the entrance ticket only (€ 5.00 per student);
  • at the entrance ticket and guided tour (€ 10.50 per student).


The application of these concessions is allowed, on an exclusive basis, only to school groups composed of over 20 students. It is also allowed free admission for 2 accompanying persons for each group.

Access to the museum by school groups is allowed until the availability quota established by the Management is exhausted. When the quota is exhausted, students and accompanying persons will be able to access according to the rates and ordinary entry methods.
